Bruce has made elegant, but low-cut gowns for tons of celebrities and dignitaries, including Catherine Zeta-Jones and Queen Rania of Jordan. Bruce apparently greeted Kate's family warmly, hugging and kissing them both, before personally helping them sift through racks of clothing.
Kate, who has barely been seen in public since the engagement announcement, is thought to have asked her family to handle some of the planning. The women didn't emerge with any bags yesterday from Bruce's store, but it is thought they could have asked to have any purchases sent to their home in Bucklebury, Berkshire.Royal insiders said last week that Kate had finally made a decision on the dress designer. It is thought that she had whittled it down to two choices: an unknown designer who would be catapulted to fame overnight and someone already accustomed to the limelight, like Bruce. A senior aide yesterday told the Daily Mail, "[Kate] has pretty much reached a final decision. But she wants to keep the creator and design to herself as a surprise for her groom on the wedding day, in line with tradition. She’s very excited."
